The V2 Aviation Brief

Spring Travel, Major Events, and What Travelers Are Planning Now

Private aviation demand heading into the spring season is concentrating around major events and tightly scheduled travel

For many executives and families, private aviation isn’t about luxury.

It’s about control over time

When schedules are tight and important moments are involved, the ability to move efficiently becomes essential.

Several major events over the next few months are already driving increased charter activity.

The Moment

Events Driving Private Aviation Demand

The Masters – Augusta, Georgia

Each year Augusta becomes one of the busiest private aviation hubs in the country during Masters week.

Strict arrival windows, limited aircraft parking, and heavy demand mean planning ahead can make a significant difference. Many travelers choose nearby airports such as Columbia or Athens to avoid congestion.

Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix

Formula 1 events consistently produce some of the highest private aviation demand anywhere in the world.

Miami is one of the busiest weekends of the year across South Florida airports, particularly Opa-locka and Miami Executive.

Travelers often combine the race with meetings, hospitality events, and extended stays.

PGA Championship – Charlotte

Major golf tournaments remain one of the largest drivers of private aviation activity in the United States.

The PGA Championship brings executives, sponsors, athletes, and hospitality guests into the region, creating concentrated demand around Charlotte-area airports.

On the Ground

Our Partnership in Golf

As part of our continued focus on supporting clients around major global events, we’ve recently partnered with Matt Pavon on the PGA Tour.

Golf continues to be one of the largest drivers of private aviation travel, bringing together executives, sponsors, and hospitality groups across the calendar.

Our partnership reflects a shared focus on precision, performance, and execution when it matters most

For clients attending tournaments this season, we’re closely tracking travel patterns, demand shifts, and access considerations across key locations.

Flight Windows

Travel around major events tends to concentrate within specific windows.

Event Travel Window Region

Masters Tournament  April Augusta

Formula 1 Miami  Early May South Florida

PGA Championship  Mid-May Charlotte

Aircraft availability typically tightens several weeks prior to these events.

Planning ahead provides the greatest flexibility in aircraft options and routing.

A Mission Story

When Time Matters

A recent client needed to attend meetings in three cities within two days while maintaining a board schedule.

Commercial travel would have required overnight stays and lost time.

Instead, we coordinated a multi-stop charter allowing the team to complete meetings in Chicago, Nashville, and Dallas within 36 hours before returning home.

The result wasn’t simply convenience.

It was the ability to accomplish more while staying fully in control of time.

That’s the real advantage of private aviation.

What Travelers Are Watching

Event-Driven Demand

Major sporting and cultural events can tighten aircraft availability around host cities. Early planning provides more routing flexibility and aircraft choice.

Fuel Market Volatility

Recent geopolitical developments have pushed energy markets higher, and aviation fuel prices tend to follow broader trends.

While this can influence pricing across the industry, the impact for most trips is relatively modest relative to the value of time saved and schedule control.

Our team continuously monitors market conditions to help clients secure the best aircraft options available.

Multi-City Travel

More clients are combining meetings, events, and personal travel into a single itinerary. With the right aircraft and planning, multi-stop trips can dramatically improve efficiency.
